No, we have removed the tiered membership structure to give all members equal access to all fitness equipment in all of our exercise rooms and workout studios.

Membership types were merged in order to provide members equal access, streamline processes, and increase efficiency in our new membership software platform, and to improve the overall member experience. 

No, the Prime Locker Room (formerly the Gold Locker Room) is only available to members over the age of 19 who choose to upgrade to this keyed-access Prime Locker Room. The private Prime Locker Room includes enhanced spaciousness, steam room (men) /sauna (women), stretching area, rental lockers, and discounted massage rates. All of this for only $20 a month per person. Visit the Welcome Center to upgrade to the Prime Locker Room.

* Please note: Sauna / Steam Room and Showers in the Prime Locker Room are not currently available due to state / CDC guidelines due to COVID.

Yes, members 13 and older will have access to the building, can attend classes, and use all of the cardio and strength-training equipment without an adult.

Lap Swim is available to members 13 and older. 

Members 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the Y while enrolled in an instructional class or program. 

Yes, our new membership platform includes a fully integrated, mobile friendly, Y-branded website that allows members the flexibility to reserve a spot in a class or space, schedule an appointment with a trainer, register for a program, and even view billing and update payment methods, all from the comfort and convenience of their home. Our Y website will also look a little different but provide you the many great features of the new software.

Yes, in order to register for a class, make a payment, etc., you must have a valid email address and create an online account.

If you would prefer to complete these transactions in person you do not need an online account – you can just stop by or call the Welcome Center for assistance.

Only one email address will be used for a multi-person membership; you will then be able to add the individual members to that one online account.  

Though we were shut down due to the pandemic, we were granted time and opportunity to accomplish our visions we’ve been talking about for months (and years in some cases – online registration!).

First, we’ve consolidated the cardio equipment to a central, spacious location. We have expanded our Weight Room with added machines. And have recently opened our Training Zone, that is available to all members at any exercise level. Some areas have also been redesigned with a fresh new look.

In addition, we have implemented thoughtful measures that align with state and local reopening guidelines to allow for physical distancing. Safety for our members and staff is our number one priority and there will be specific policies and protocols in place. There will also be special Ambassador stations set up beyond both the Main Street and Hope Street entrances to support, inform, and welcome you back.

Things will look different, but we are still YOUR Y, and look forward to welcoming our members back.

All of our cardio machines are now housed in our first floor Cardio Center. The former cardio space upstairs has been converted to our new Training Zone filled with brand new HITT, TRX, X-Fit, plyometric, & functional training equipment.

The Nautilus strength equipment is still located on the first floor but in the former cardio space. The thoughtfully designed new Nautilus Training Center has a complete strength-training circuit that offers progressive resistance to improve strength, heart health, and flexibility.

An orientation appointment is highly recommended when using new machines. Sign up online using our new reservation platform, or contact the Welcome Center. 

Orientations are available on the hour, Monday through Friday 8 am-6 pm, and weekends 8-1 pm. Orientation appointments are also available for the FitLife Center, Traning Zone, and the Free Weight Room. 

Settings and starting weights can be recorded on a card, notebook, or participant’s device. We will no longer be storing member workout cards in filing cabinets.

Some scholarship members may see a slight increase in their membership rates. Our new matrix was redesigned to better help and assess the needs of our community and members; it was structured around matrices from two other local YMCA’s with similar demographics. Our goal is to equally help single individuals as well as families by balancing aid between all members.

Yes. As of January 1, 2020 our $50 Health Deposit has been converted into a $25 Joiner’s Fee for new members. We will honor all current 13-month Health Deposits through December of 2020.
