The rules are simple enough that the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced competition for experienced players. Intermediate / Advanced Pickleball Clinic

6-week clinic starting Thursday, November 3rd from 7:30 to 9 pm.

Build your skills by developing:
• Court positioning and kitchen approach – the 3 most common mistakes and how to avoid them
• Volleys, dinks, drives – when to use them and how to refine them
• Introduction to the third shot drop – the most important shot in the game
• Serve development and strategy
• Introduction to poaching – when to use the poach and why you must
• Doubles strategy – setting goals from the baseline, efficient communication with your partner

6 weeks: 90 minutes each class (no class on Thursday, Nov 24)
10 minutes stretching
55 minutes instruction, drills, challenges
25 minutes round robin play with coaching

Adam Gordon is an occupational therapist who specializes in sensory integration, motor coordination, and visual perceptual skills. He has played pickleball at a competitive level since 2019 and competes in tournaments several times each year. As a former tennis instructor and kiteboarding instructor, Adam breaks down each skill into bite-sized activities. Players who have taken pickleball lessons with Adam have greatly improved their game and enjoyment of the sport. Adam keeps it fun!

Introduction to Pickleball

Three-week beginner lesson will emphasize rules, basic strokes, safety on the court and utilize coached play to learn placement and movement on the court. This class is appropriate for those who have never walked on the court and those who want to develop a better understanding of the basics.

Three classes: December 4, 11 and 18
10:30 to 12 noon

Paddles provided or bring your own.

due to the first home meet for our Tumbling Tigers Gymnastics Team.

There will be no pickleball, basketball, gymnastics or parkour classes.

Gym will be closed from 12 noon on for the Elk’s National Hoop Shoot.
