We are once again thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for our YMCA community to experience a day of fun and baseball at Fenway Park! In partnership with three New England YMCA Alliances and the Boston Red Sox, we invite you to be a part of YMCA Day at Fenway Park on Monday, April 20 at 11:15 am in Fenway Park!
This event promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family, filled with unforgettable moments and the electric atmosphere of America’s favorite pastime. And here’s the best part—our members have exclusive access to discounted bleacher seats for just $41 per ticket!

Hula Hooping Pop-Up!
Hooping is an all-encompassing flow art- engaging the body, mind and soul. Basic hooping strengthens core muscles while enhancing balance, coordination and grace. We’ll work on different stances to help ease and open the lower back, hip and leg muscles. You’ll learn to hoop all around and on all parts of the body. Experience hoops of different sizes and weights, their speed and how they accommodate the use of the arms, torso and legs. This class is for all levels of hoopers. Shenandoah specializes in teaching people to hoop for the first time and adding new and advanced moves for seasoned hoopers. The hoop is an instrument to take you out of your head and into your body, easing tension, increasing joy, peace and self confidence. A moving meditation, you’ll leave feeling centered, strengthened and embodied.
Shenandoah has been hooping for 25 years and brings articulate and patient instruction helping you to move in ways you never imagined. She is honored and excited to share hoops and their benefits with all.

Learn to Snorkel
Be ready for your next day at the beach! Learn the basics of snorkeling with Dave MacDonald. All equipment will be provided. Bring your bathing suit and towel. Maximum of 12 participants only. For children & adults 8 years and older. Children under the age of 15 must have an adult in the water participating.
One hour of class time and 1 hour of pool time

Lifeguard Certification
LIFEGUARDING WITH BLENDED LEARNING
Perfect for strong swimmers ages 15 and up who are proficient in:
• Front Crawl • Breaststroke • Side Stroke
• Elementary Back Stroke • Treading Water (legs only for 2 minutes)
• Swim 550 yards continually (waterfront/lifeguard)
• Swim 300 yards continually (lifeguard)
• Retrieve 10 lb brick from bottom of pool
All lifeguard candates must take the lifeguard prerequisite swim prior to signing up for the lifeguard course. Please register for this under Special Events : Clinics, Training & Certs.- Lifeguard Prerequisite Swim Evaluation
BLENDED LEARNING (approximately 6 hours. MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE FIRST IN-PERSON SKILL SESSION)

Moving Through Menopause
Strength In Menopause is an 8-week group wellness program is for those in any stage of menopause looking to learn how to strength train safely and effectively in a supportive group setting (includes Peri & Post). Starts March 31, 2026.
Step into the next phase of life confident and strong. Embrace menopause, not with confusion and isolation, but with a supportive community, and fitness goals that empower. Scuba Experience
This one day course will let you experience the use of Scuba equipment and what to expect when going underwater. Classroom time followed by in water training!

Strong, Resilient, Safe: Yoga for Better Bones
Join Barbara Polowy, E-RYT500 for this two class series.
Regular yoga practice has been shown to stabilize and even reverse osteoporosis and osteopenia by improving bone density and bone quality. Yoga also promotes good posture, thus helping to maintain spinal integrity, and builds overall strength, balance, and focus to reduce the risk for falls.
This series of two classes will benefit anyone who has or is at risk for osteoporosis or osteopenia and is interested in yoga as a complementary therapy to standard medical treatment. Each class will include a series of postures to build healthy bones and improve balance as well as guidance on modifying standard yoga poses to ensure skeletal safety.

Weightlifting Clinics with RJ
Focus on basic technique of the squat, bench press, and deadlift. The clinic will start by going over basic technique of each lift followed by attendees performing each lift to work on individual form. Training variations as well as assistant exercises for each lift will be addressed. Ideas of how to implement into your training will be discussed.
