Franklin County’s YMCA Gymnastics
Gymnastics classes for children and families focus on enhancing basic body movement, coordination, and muscle development by developing balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance. The movements involved in gymnastics contribute to the development of the arms, legs, shoulders, back, chest, and abdominal muscle groups.
Our USAG-certified gymnastics Club provides gymnastics programs for individuals at all levels, from beginners to advanced. All of our gymnastics staff members are highly trained and hold certification as USAG gymnastics instructors.

Program Guidelines and Policies
Enrollment
Our classes are thoughtfully designed to cater to the individual needs of each child. Our gymnastics program takes into account various crucial factors, including the developmental stages of physical, emotional, social, and cognitive aspects at the time of enrollment. Each gymnast will be placed in the course corresponding to their age at the time of enrollment. In the event that their birthday falls within a session, they will be scheduled to enroll in the subsequent course during the next session. Click here to register

Missed Classes
When a payment is made for a spot in a YMCA class, it guarantees the gymnast’s placement in that class, regardless of attendance. Should a class be missed, the tuition fees are non-refundable and cannot be credited or prorated under any circumstances, including illness, vacation, holidays, or snow days. Missed classes are not eligible for refunds. Please note that we cannot guarantee make-up classes due to availability, staffing, and space constraints.
Appropriate Attire
The preferred attire for gymnastics is a leotard with or without shorts, or tight-fitted shorts and a compression shirt (spandex). This is important to ensure that the skin is not exposed during gymnastics activities, as bare skin at the midsection can lead to severe abrasions. Please note that dance leotards with skirts are not suitable or permitted for gymnastics class. Loose clothing such as pants, leggings, dresses, skirts, or clothing with buttons and zippers is not safe during gymnastics classes, as it can get wrapped around equipment and inhibit coaches’ ability to properly spot children. It’s also important to for gymnast not wear jewelry, except for studs in the earlobes.
Hair
Hair: Please ensure that children’s hair is pulled back and away from their eyes for safety reasons. It’s important to note that we do not offer hair ties for children. If a child’s hair is not tied back, they will not be allowed into the Gymnastics Center. Keeping hair off the face is a safety precaution for all gymnasts, regardless of the hair length. Thank you for your cooperation.
Hydration
We are a water-only gymnastics center. We do not have a water fountain, so gymnasts must bring their own water bottles. We do not provide cups for the children, so please remember to bring your child a water bottle! Bottles must have lids. Coaches will allow for water breaks during classes.
Drop Off
Parents are kindly asked to accompany their children to the Gymnastics Center door and assist them in storing their socks, shoes, coats, and any other belongings in the designated blue cubbies located outside the Gymnastics Center. Please advise your child that chewing gum is not allowed, as it poses a choking hazard. Only children are allowed inside the gymnastics room during classes. Thank you for your cooperation.
Viewing
.You can watch your child on the mezzanine, accessible by the staircase or elevator next to the Gymnastics Center door.
